Umpires flourish in the West Midlands

The past month has seen umpires across the West Midlands Region pass their umpiring assessments with flying colours. Below is a round up of the regions umpiring success stories for April 2022.

A Award

The Netball West Midlands are delighted to announce that three new A Awards were gained on Sunday 10th April 2022. A huge congratulations to Hannah Williams, Kathryn Slater, and Rob Tozer. All three have been a tremendous support to the regional league over the recent years. Regional Officiating Lead Zena Johnston said ‘it has been a pleasure to watch them grow into competent and now very successful umpires.’ West Midlands netball wishes them all the very best for the future, and every success with their umpiring careers. Congratulations Hannah, Kathryn and Rob!

B Award

West Midlands Netball is pleased to announce two new B awards gained by Nicola Jones and Grace Hollis who both passed their B Award assessment on Saturday 23rd April. Nichola and Grace have supported U19 and senior regional leagues over the past seasons and their success was well deserved. Best of luck as you continue with your umpiring journey.



Super League Talent ID Squad

West Midlands umpire Jo Paddock (pictured below) has been included in the Super League Talent ID Squad. Jo had her first outing as third official at Wasps on Saturday 23rd April, the whole of the West Midlands Regional Management Board wishes Jo the best of luck for the rest of the current season and into the 2023 season.
